The Fit for Faith ministry is an all-inclusive group of health-conscious people of faith seeking to improve overall well-being through the study and implementation of fitness, nutrition, meditation, and various spiritual techniques, all for the purpose of a stronger mind, body and Spirit.
We offer a myriad of opportunities to help you get your living temple "fit for faith" in fellowship with other Cathedral of Hope members and friends. Check out our Sunday weekly and our website for updates. To sign up to receive regular Fit for Faith updates, please email Todd Scoggins.
Fit for Faith's Lone Star Ride
Whether you’re an expert or recreational bicyclist, we invite you to join our Fit For Faith ministry and participate in the 2011 Lone Star Ride, September 24-25, helping to raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The ride lasts for 2 days, offering riders 5 different routes, ranging from 90-150 miles, taking you through scenic suburban and country landscapes in the DFW area. All meals and refreshments are provided, as well as hilarious pit-stop entertainment, an evening party with live entertainment, bike tech-support, and even massages!
If you’re not into cycling but still want to be a part of the team then you can join the Crew! Lone Star Ride needs a big crew in order to make the ride possible. Be there to cheer on riders and your CoH bike team, to keep them hydrated and fed, and most importantly: to be a part of a team that’s making a difference in the battle against HIV/AIDS.

Fit for Faith's "Mindful Mondays"
Join us every Monday at 7:00pm in the Interfaith Peace Chapel for mindful meditation, breathing, sitting, walking, and yoga. Whether you're an expert or novice meditator, we invite you to join us for one hour of mindfulness. It's just the thing after a long Monday at work. No need to sign up, just come as you are...

Fit for Faith's "Biggest Loser" Program
Annually, Cathedral of Hope members compete for a chance to win a cash prize to be the "biggest loser" by losing the most body fat. In fellowship with other "big losers", learn techniques for how to lose weight and keep it off for good through exercise, nutrition, and awareness seminars.
Are you ready to lose that annoying extra weight? Do you want to feel better about yourself, mentally, physically, and spiritually? Ready to make your desire to get fit part of your ministry involvement here at CoH?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are "fit" to join us for CoH’s “Biggest Loser”!
- Be a part of a team in order to stay motivated for a 90 day program
- Attend free seminars on eating right, effective exercises, and mental health
- Weekly private weigh-ins will track you and your team’s progress. (personal weight information will not be made public)
- Prize incentives for both the winning team, and the individual biggest loser (a one-time suggested donation of $20 will go towards the prize incentives)

Fit for Faith's Kick-Boxing and PiYo
Do you often get tired of doing the same old workouts? Do you feel like you’ve reached a plateau in your fitness? Or are you just sick of exercising? If so, then check out this great opportunity for free Kickboxing and “PiYo” seminars. No previous experience required!!!
What is a kickboxing workout? Imagine a workout that incorporates light martial arts with dance, set to high energy, motivating music! Kickboxing has been described as “the ultimate cardiovascular workout for strength/endurance training.”
What is PiYo? Think sculpted abdominals, increased overall core strength, and greater stability, accomplished through yoga-like choreography. Join our instructor Frank Ewing for this excellent opportunity. Frank wants to share with us his own journey through weight loss, as well as teach us how FUN a workout can be!
