20 Something Ministry
More Info
College students, young career workers and anyone else in their 20’s can enjoy this
opportunity to come together for fellowship, praise and worship, and for learning
more about our living relationship with God.
Administrative Support More Info
Provide general office support to the various ministry areas at CoH and to the Administration department. Tasks vary depending on the need of the ministry.
Altar Ministry More Info
Serve as Acolytes (candle lighters, processional element carriers, set up for communion), Communion Servers (the ones who actually serve during communion).
Breakfast at Cathedral of Hope (BACH)
Provide breakfast for the homeless each Saturday. More Info
Career Assistance Ministry More Info
This “come-as-you-need-it” ministry meets Mondays from noon to 1:00 p.m. is open to all who want to better their work situation or are looking for employment.
Cathedral Bakers
This ministry gathers on an as requested basis to whip up tantalizing and scrumptious baked goods for special events and after worship fellowship.
Cathedral Business Network More Info
Business owners, independent service providers, and general business professionals who commit to building quality business relationships, promoting their products and services, and generating business opportunities between CBN members and visitors.
Cathedral Couples More Info
Meets the first Saturday of each month for a potluck dinner and socializing. Location varies between the CoH Fellowship Hall and a private residence.
Cathedral University More Info
Provides excellent pedagogical opportunities for adults and young people here at Cathedral of Hope.
Children and Families Ministry More Info
Provide Nursery care for infants; Children’s Church and Christian education for children 4 years old through 4th grade; Bible-centered discussion classes for Preteens, grades 5 and 6.
Choir More Info
The main choral group at the Cathedral. Open to all. Ability to carry a tune and match pitch required. You will sing a simple tune for section placement.
Circles of Hope (Small Group Ministry) More Info
A Circle of Hope is a group of 8 to 15 people which meets regularly to pray together, study together and find a ministry together.
Coat of Colours Ministry More Info
A multi-ethnic faith community focusing on the rich heritages of African America, Native-America, Asian, Latina/o, Pacific Islanders, and friends whose mission is to encourage, enlighten, and empower our community by inspiring compassion and radical inclusion through education, acceptance, and the celebration of diversity.

Fit for Faith Ministry More Info
This is an inclusive group of health conscious people of faith, seeking to improve our overall well-being through the study and implementation of various Fitness, Nutritional and Spiritual techniques, with the intended result being the development of a stronger Mind, Body and Soul.
Gaymsters (Bridge Club) More Info
Meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., and the first and third Sunday of every month at 2 p.m., in the Congregational Life Center. All level of players welcome.
Gift Wrapping - Seasonal More Info
Volunteers wrap Christmas gifts at local stores with 100% of the donations from the wrapping services benefitting the CoH Evelyn Pruitt AIDS Crisis Fund.
Gospel Choir More Info
All are welcome, so long as you are at least 18 years old and are able to attend rehearsals regularly on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8 p.m. Vocalists of all experience levels and faith backgrounds are invited to join.
Greeter Ministry More Info
Welcome visitors and guests to worship services. Answer questions and provide directions as needed.
Grief Support Ministry More Info
Provide Pastoral Care to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one through death, divorce or some other crisis. The role of lay ministers is to offer a supportive presence through monthly letters, phone calls, emails listening groups and sometimes personal visits.
Grupo de Jóvenes More Info
A bilingual program of spiritual activities designed to allow for pre-teen and adolescent students to grow spiritually, both personally and in fellowship with and to develop deep and meaningful relationships with their peers, their parents, and God.
Handbell Choir More Info
Play as scheduled for our worship services and for other events at church and in the community. You must read music.
Holiday Benevolence – Seasonal More Info
Distribute food baskets to needy families and individuals at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Hospital Visitation Team More Info
Visit those who are ill in the hospital or at home. Pray for the person who is ill and upon request serves communion or anoint with oil. Training provided.
iCare Team More Info
Provide intake services for people who come to CoH for assistance. Daytime hours only.
Interfaith Peace Chapel Docents
More Info
This group of dedicated men and women are ambassadors of both the Cathedral of Hope and the Interfaith Peace Chapel sharing our history, information about Philip Johnson, the construction of the building for visiting guests on private and public tours, conferences and special events.
LEGACY (50+ y/o social group) More Info
Meets the third Saturday of each month for an outing or a potluck dinner at church or at a private home. Younger partners welcome to attend.
Life Needs Ministry More Info
On an as needed basis provides cooking and delivering meals, providing transportation to medical appointments and church, running errands, shopping for groceries, “sitting” with an elderly person or someone who is ill, making a telephone visit, delivering plants, and various other tasks.
Loaves and Fishes More Info
Food and toiletries collection and delivery the last Sunday of each month.
Lunch After Church Fellowship

Mindful Monday Meditation More Info
Join us every Monday at 7 p.m. in the Interfaith Peace Chapel for mindful meditation, breathing, sitting, walking, and yoga.
Missions Work More Info
Provide assistance to churches and people outside of Dallas and the USA in a variety of ways, including sending CoH people to other cities and countries to participate in work projects.
New Member Ministry Administrative Support More Info
Provides support for New Member classes by assembling packets, setting up and taking down rooms, taking new member photos and other various tasks.
Office Angels More Info
Staff main reception desk after office hours Monday through Thursday and on Sunday mornings. Training required.
Orchestra More Info
The orchestra plays the prelude and offertory as scheduled and accompanies the Sanctuary Choir during the anthem and during congregational singing.
People Helping People - Seasonal More Info
Home renovation projects for low-income and elderly residents working with the city of Dallas.
Photography Ministry More Info
Team members take photos of various CoH ministries in action, events sponsored by the church and meet to exchange photography tips and socialize.
Prayer Ministry More Info
Join the Intercessory Prayer team and pray for the congregation, ministries, staff and outreach of Cathedral of Hope.
Pre-Teen & Teen Ministry More Info
A program of both spiritual and fellowship activities designed to allow pre-teen and younger adolescent students to grow spiritually and develop deep and meaningful relationships with their peers, their parents, and God.
Pride Ministry Team - Seasonal More Info
Coordinates the parade and festival entries for the Annual Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade held every September in Dallas.
Prison Ministry More Info
Correspond with lesbian and gay persons who are incarcerated and provide hope that God’s inclusive love is for them as well.
Ray of Hope Thrift Store More Info
In preparation for the annual sale, work each Saturday to receive and sort items.
Service Outside of Service (SOS) More Info
Food items, bottled water and clean pairs of socks are stuffed in bags that can be carried easily in a car to be given away as people in need are encountered.
Signer (for the hearing impaired) More Info
ASL interpretation for the hearing impaired at worship services.
Sources of Hope (Bookstore) More Info
Provide clerical support, display and sales help in the Bookstore. Training provided and the bookstore is flexible scheduling.
The Journey More Info
A 3 day spiritual retreat for people wanting to grow and deepen their faith journey.
Tutors More Info
Provide mentors and tutors for our neighborhood, adopted schools.
TV Ministry More Info
Provide video support for worship services. Lay ministers learn all aspects of the ministry including camera, sound, lighting, directing, and administrative support. Training provided.
Usher Ministry More Info
Prepare Sanctuary for worship services, seat people as they arrive, take up the offering and direct people during communion.
