Become a Producer of CoH TV

CoH TV is made possible through our producer-volunteers in numerous cities across the nation. If would like to share the Cathedral of Hope worship services with thousands of people in your city, become a producer-volunteer in 4 steps:

Step 1 - Call your cable company and ask for the Public Access Coordinator. Tell them you want to air a weekly program which is already produced. You will be asked to fill out some forms containing technical questions; we'll help you answer them. Much of the information asked for is listed on the form, but don't be intimidated or embarrassed to tell them you don't know the answer. Just note their questions and we'll supply the answers.

Step 2 - Once you've talked to the cable company, call or email us and let us know what format tape they use. We'll send a sample tape or DVD of our program which the cable company will evaluate for technical correctness. You'll be surprised how quickly our program will be accepted by the Public Access station! Our program is typically one of the most watched programs in every market we enter - markets as diverse as Washington, DC; Salem, Oregon; Tucson, Arizona; and Wilmington, North Carolina. They'll like it!

About Technical Requirements - Remember that you're the producer and have people to do that for you - us. We can handle all technical requests made by the public access station.

Step 3 - After our program is accepted, an airtime will be assigned. Airtimes are set at the judgment of the public access coordinator based on the request of the producer and availability of slots. Please request a Sunday airtime. 11:00 am or later is optimum. If you do not have first choice, we'll take anytime available..

Step 4 - We will begin sending you four tapes or DVDs once a month. The station will usually accept four tapes at a time. Once the tapes are shown, please send them back to us so we can recycle them. This is important to help keep costs down.

About Public Access

As part of cable franchise agreements cable TV operators are required to provide free access channels for residents of the cable area. They typically have a complete production TV studio dedicated to this purpose including cameras, lights, sound and editing suites as well as training classes in how to use it all.

Further, at the request of local residents Public Access Channels are obliged to air programs produced elsewhere - like Cathedral of Hope!
