In a culture of war, where power and greed blind many from seeing value in others, we are called to be courageous and sacrificial in our efforts to create and sustain peace.

Proclaiming Peace to the World

The chapel will be our visible proclamation to the world that we must all be committed to peace. It will stand as a monument to the cause of peace for all who believe in it, seek it and work for it.

In an environment where people are repeatedly excluded from communities of faith, we are called to build a campus where all will see and feel our welcoming spirit.

Hospitality Starts at the Curb

From the moment visitors arrive, the will feel welcome, thanks to a brilliant site design by landscape architect, James Burnett. The plan includes a large park area around the Interfaith Peace Chapel along with extensive change for the existing parking lots and church entrances. New signage will further enhance the grounds and make it easier for newcomers to find our campus.

In a violent world where religious differences can fuel hatred, we are called to stand alongside our brothers and sisters and affirm one another in our encounters with the Divine. In a crowded city where people are too busy to pause and notice the Divine all around us, we are called to create space where the sacred can be encountered by everyone.

A Place Where Dialogue can Begin

The chapel will be a place where people of all faiths, or no faith, can participate in dialogue, meditation and prayer. The environment and surroundings will inspire people to join voices, hearts and minds in order to build understanding of similarities and differences.

The Interfaith Peace Chapel

The Interfaith Peace Chapel is a modern masterpiece designed by award-winning and world-renowned architect Philip Johnson. It is a brilliant, inspirational design of “sculpture as architecture.” Seating up to 175 people, the chapel will provide ideal space for intimate worship services, commitment ceremonies and memorial services.

This sacred space will make a bold and highly visible statement to the world about our commitment to the vision God has placed upon our hearts. We believe wholeheartedly that God will transform millions of lives through this building! We are asking every member of our congregation and all who believe in what we are doing to prayerfully consider a generous and sacrificial gift toward the building of the chapel.

Please pray that God will turn our dreams into a reality, and pray how God might be leading you to take part in this miracle!

Sincerely,
Jo and Michael
